Just in we have this 2003 Lotus Sport 190 Elise S2!
Car number 23 of just 33 cars produced the Sport 190 was a Motorsport division “skunkworks” project fitting the VHPD Rover K series into the early lightweight S2 Chassis. Just 33 were manufactured this car having being assigned build number 23. The car has the official build plaque in the car and us supported by detailed certification from Lotus archives.
28000 miles on the clock and in great condition – very little to no winter use.
Good service history with lots of old invoices – the car has also had a remote stat fitted some time ago and runs a nice solid 84 degrees.
The Elise is fitted with a 2bular 421 manifold and backbox and AP 4 pot brakes in addition to the rear panel delete. Some of the original parts are available with the car if required.
A fantastically well priced genuine heritage car one of the most exclusive models from the now sadly defunct Lotus Motorsport division.
The car is HPI clear and supported with very good service history. The car also had a rework of the Jenvey throttle bodies involving repositioning the throttle position sensor so the car starts like a normal K series and runs noticeably smoother than other VHPD we have seen.
A very rare chance to bag one of Lotus’ rarest cars part of the oldschool now. Super lightweight with oodles of character from what has to be one of the best sounding 4 pot engines ever made.
